It's All About Dogs!
Here at The Canine Activity Centre it's all about dogs - their mental and physical wellbeing, stimulation, enrichment and exercise!
Find out more below about what our centre is really about!

Our Story
After exercising my own dogs in various rented fields, I realised there was a need for a more controlled exercise space, inside in the warm with no rain, that would also accommodate the nights drawing in and me not losing my lurcher! I realised I didn't really do a lot except for wonder around aimlessly trying to recall my dogs, who were blissfully ignoring me.. why? Because I'd disengaged from them! On countless walks, I meet people who have their heads in their phones, unaware of where their dog is, or that their dog has their lead wrapped around a leg, completely uninterested with the job that was set out to do - exercise your dog...
So along came The Canine Activity Centre!
The whole purpose of this safe space for dogs is for you, as an owner, to engage fully in your dogs exercise. The space isn't designed for huge amounts of 'zooming' (although there is a space to have a mad 5 minutes), but to engage and enhance your dogs sensory organs, work their brains in finding and discovering new things, as well as physically tiring them using physiotherapeutic exercise, engaging in play and maybe even a game of hide and seek?
And all of this is to improve your bond with your dog, teach them something new, and maybe learn something new yourself!

Hi, I'm Jemma, a Registered Veterinary Nurse, Qualified Animal Physiotherapist and Canine Hydrotherapist. A lot of you know me from JCB Animal Physio Rehabilitation Centre just across the way from The Canine Activity Centre.
Meet The Centre...

The Sniff Wall
Interactive wall with scent hideaways, sniff pots and foliage! Bring your own treats to play hide and find with your dogs and really get their noses going!

The Ball Pit
The ULTIMATE fun for the ball obsessed! Find hundreds of balls for them to dive around in and enjoy!

The Mirror Wall

The Human Area
Fantastic for obedience and ring craft training as well as interactive and confidence giving for dogs to see themselves! Can you play hide and seek in the mirror with them?
Kitted out with a sink, hand wash, first aid kit and completely separate from the dog area (no dogs allowed) - you can take 5 minutes too to enjoy watching your four legged friends having fun and tiring themselves out.

The Agility Equipment
Find a whole array of agility equipment, and obstacles for your dog to tackle! Enjoy sending them through hoopers tunnels, onto Plyo boxes, balancing on our balance balls, playing outside on the cable wheels, having a go at the sea-saw, figuring out the weaves and training them up and down ramps - it tests and stimulates them mentally and physically for a completely different work out that doesn't involve running and ball throwing!
Don't forget to try and get a dog selfie with our instagram board and tag us on our socials! The more the merrier!
